World Time is the Same in Every Dimension

Let’s be honest, there’s no way to know exactly how it works. The best we can do is observe the fact that our world’s time seems to be the same everywhere, and come up with a theory that fits as many aspects of reality as possible. That said, I think it’s safe to say that each dimension has its own standard of time—its own clock, so to speak—and all these clocks are in perfect sync with one another due to the unfathomably advanced technology that powers them.

Is Time Reversible?

Einstein’s theories suggest that time may not be one-directional. In many regions of space-time, moving backward could be just as easy as moving forwards, according to Einstein’s general theory of relativity. However, we have no way of proving that these regions exist — and if you can’t prove it’s true, then it might as well be false.

What About Tardis?

The TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space) was a police box on Earth, but it was also capable of traveling through time and space. If you can accept that Tardis exists, then you can understand how world time could be the same from any point of view. You just need to make sure that your understanding of physics is not limited by three dimensions of space or one dimension of time.

Which System is Correct?

The solution to which time system we use is actually quite complex. First, we need to look at how clocks are created. Clocks are not intended to perfectly record time, they are intended to tell us what time it currently is. Therefore, if we continue using our current clocks and never adjust them, then theoretically all of them will eventually give us different times because of irregularities like continental drift and changes in gravity. Because of these natural occurrences, no clock can be considered a reliable source for global standardization.

The Same but Different

When considering a dimension with its own version of you, one of your first thoughts maybe something along the lines of But what if my life was different? For example, what if you had made a different decision at a critical moment? Let’s say that you had decided to quit college and devote yourself full-time to your business instead. What would have happened then? Would your life be better or worse than it currently is?

Why Does it Matter?

Though Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity predicts that world time should be independent of position and movement, it has never been proven. If it can be proven, then we can make more accurate predictions about how objects move through space. In some cases, knowing world time could predict solar flares or other such catastrophic events. Understanding how our universe works and what causes its motion will give us a better understanding of what we can do to change that motion to avoid these catastrophic events.

Conclusion

The world follows a 24-hour clock, with 24 hours every day. Despite what you may think, every time zone on Earth is always synchronized to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). For example, in Asia’s Tokyo time zone UTC+9:00, at exactly 1 AM it becomes noon in India’s New Delhi time zone UTC+5:30; however at exactly 6 PM there will be one more hour left to sunset – and so forth.
